Your a dove. You open your eyes and look across the field, towards the creek, and then turn your head to the sky. You decide to fly. You open up your wings and jump from the nest, soaring over the grass and gaining wind. You sour up and up until your five hundred feet above the ground. You go higher until you hear something. All of the sudden something hits you. You dive and it only clips your tail. Its a hawk. You Climb a little higher and wait. You hear it diving, and when it almost hits you, you tip to the right and it misses. You then climb higher. The hawk cant see you, and you go towards a tree in the field. The hawk fly's on, out of the field and into the woods. You fly back to you nest and close your eyes.

Hawks Eye
Your a Red Tail hawk. Your sitting on the top of a dead tree, bent at a perfect angle for you to perch on. All of the sudden, with your strong eyesight, you see a mouse nosing through a pile of leaves at the other side of the field. You spread your wings and jump off the perch, catch the air, and your flying. You look back through the field and see a few birds in a tree, fighting over food, and further off, you see the mouse. You about make up your mind when you see a dove flying half a mile ahead of you. You gain speed and chase it. You climb the air until your above and behind it, so that it doesn't hear you, then you dive. You hit it hard in the back, killing it instantly. You circle back around and catch it as it falls. You fly off back to your perch, and after you eat it, you close your eyes and sleep.

Nov. 11th, 2010.
Today i went out to Crowley park. I had seen the day before that birds and other wildlife were abundant, and came back today to study them more. I went out into the woods, entering on an old trail i found, and came out into a clearing. It was surrounded by trees, and the grass here was knee high. There were three paths leading from here, not including the one i had just come in from. I went along the path straight in front of me and came out into a larger clearing. This one was surrounded by trees in a U-shaped pattern, and a small creek flowed along with the trees. I walked into the U, and stopped at a large tree. A group of doves was perched on a tree to my left, and there were a couple of Blue Jays (Cyanocitta Cristata). Then, a bird flew and landed on a limb in front of me and whistled. I whistled the same note back, and it whistled back. We did this for ten minutes, then it flew to another limb, then over to the tree with the doves. Then a Cardinal (Cardinalis Cardinalis) landed in front of me and looked around, jerking its head into all directions. Then it flew to another tree and did the same. I turned around and saw a Woodpecker drumming into a tree, then pull a grub out and flew to another limb and pecked at it. I walked further into the U and found a small waterfall concealed by overgrown brush. I stepped down beside it, and when I did, two little frogs fled into the water and swam with amazing speed to the other side. There were also a few large fish and a lot of minnows. I walked back out of the U, and as i walked towards my trail of entry, a large falcon flew above me and soared into the sky towards the U, probably for lunch, considering all the birds that i had seen. I ran back into the clearing and marveled at its speed. It circled the clearing a few times, then flew up further into the sky and vanished.
